Three men are under arrest after separate drug finds, the police said.

The first arrest, yesterday afternoon, was of a 32-year-old man from Dingli who was found in possession of drugs including cocaine and ecstasy which appeared to be meant for trafficking.

Later in the day, a 24-year-old man was arrested in Paceville after members of the Rapid Intervention Unit found him in possession of cocaine, mephedron and ecstasy, which also appeared to be meant for trafficking.  

The third arrest was of a 40-year-old Sicilian, resident in Porto Palo, who is under investigation for importing and trafficking 4kg of cannabis. The drug was found in his car shortly after he arrived in Malta.

All three are expected to be taken to court.
