Two men received a suspended sentence and another was fined in connection with incidents during the feast of Our Lady of Graces in Zabbar, five years ago.

Daniel Agius, 35 was condemned to a 17-month jail term suspended for three years while Peter Paul Pisani, 40, was sentenced to 14 months in jail, also suspended for three years, Anthony Grima, 52, was fined €58.

All three were convicted of involvement in a fight between supporters of the rival bands in Zabbar,

Charlot Ebejer, 30, was acquitted.

A number of other men had already been arraigned in connection with the incidents.

All were accused of involvement in the fight and disobeying police orders.
