Three cars were damaged in a fire in Triq Franza, Naxxar, last night but prompt action by owners and neighbours prevented the vehicles from being destroyed.

The police said the blaze was reported at about 1.30 a.m. and was extinguished by the fire fighters of the Civil Protection Department, the owners and neighbours.

The damaged cars were a Toyota Rav, a Volkswagen Passat and a Toyota Vitz.

No one was injured.

The police are investigating.
