Two burglars were caught trying to escape from the roof of a house in Balzan yesterday afternoon, police said.

The thieves entered the empty residence in San Valentinu Street, Balzan, stealing several items.

They then entered a second house, which was occupied. The police were alerted and managed to nab the unarmed thieves as they were making their way out via the roof.
