Women's bodies have become the main marketing tool for any kind of product. The female figure in advertisements increasingly dominates the media, not least local magazines that are within easy access of all members of the family including children and young people.

The representation of woman as a sex object influences our perception of the female body. Women are depicted in postures reflecting a wide range of sexual messages that are ruthlessly distorting society's perception of sex as a healthy human need.

We strongly urge advertising agencies and relevant authorities to ensure adherence to ethical codes and morals that go far beyond the definition of advertising as "the means of providing the most persuasive possible selling message... at the lowest possible cost"!
