Chelsea captain John Terry was back in training today - just hours after his broken metatarsal scare.

Terry hurt his right foot in training yesterday but scans showed there was no break.

Now the England defender is on course to lead the Blues out in Saturday's FA Cup final against Portsmouth at Wembley, after Chelsea confirmed he was back in training.

A spokesman for Chelsea said: "John Terry has started this morning's final training session at Cobham prior to the FA Cup final.

"Tomorrow the squad will train at Wembley."

Victory for Chelsea would earn them an historic league and FA Cup double.
