The final three weeks of the Middlesea League look set for another thrilling finish at the top of Division One where long-time leaders Fina have seen their lead trimmed to just three points by nearest rivals Tabsat.

The two sides went head to head at the SuperBowl for the second time this season, and Tabsat won 6-2 to get back in the title hunt. Centro Casalinga picked up the only full-point win of the week against relegated side Active, while there were matching 6-2 wins for third-placed Ramis against Café Ole, Globalair at the expense of Turu's Knights and Royal Shock over NINE.

Tabsat have been making up ground on Fina during the latter half of the season, and faced them in Week 16 in what is always a much anticipated fixture.

The challengers were first on the scoreboard as they won the opener 757-834, but Fina were level thanks to their 809-740 game two win.

There was very little in it as game three commenced, and that fell in 760-799 to Tabsat who clinched a 6-2 win by 47 pins (2,326-2,373) to move within striking distance of the leaders.

Ramis stayed third on 75 points but Globalair Travel and Centro Casalinga are hot on their heels with 74 and 72 respectively.

Against Café Ole, Ramis started with a comfortable 736-652 game one win, then went 4-0 ahead by taking the closer second 768-742. Café Ole took the last of the set 726-786 but Ramis held on to the series with a 50-pin advantage (2,230-2,180).

Standings: Fina 100; Tabsat 97; Ramis 75; Globalair Travel 74; Centro Casalinga 72; Royal Shock 64; Turu's Knights 52; NINE 48; Café Ole 47; Active 11.
