A 21-year-old man from Cospicua was given a two-year jail term suspended for four this morning after pleading guilty to being an accomplice in three burglaries from Intergame Ltd in Gzira on September 19, 20 and 21.

Police sources said that Casey Borg, who was a cleaner, allegedly gave a key and an alarm system pass-code to 44-year-old Mark Lawrence Rizzo, who pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Mr Rizzo allegedly stole six monitors, a number of LCD screens, a number of computers and some other electrical equipment.

He told the police that he had been working with Polidano Construction Ltd for a week before this happened.

But police inspector Daniel Zammit told the Court he called Mr Polidano who denied the accused had ever worked for him. He said this was a sign that the accused was not trustworthy.

Magistrate Audrey Demicoli remanded Mr Rizzo in custody.
