An STC graduate was recently awarded a scholarship to read for a Master’s degree.

Mark Borg was the highest achiever out of 44 students who gained honours degrees last July from Middlesex University under a joint programme with STC ­Training.

Mr Borg said the advantage of STC, based in Pembroke, was its ability to offer international degrees delivered by tutors with significant industry experience.

“The scholarship offered by Middlesex is not just in recognition of my personal achievement; it is also a validation of STC’s ability to provide a quality of training equivalent to that of campus-based courses at Middlesex,” he said.

STC Training is a higher education institute for ICT and business and offers honours degrees in IT and Networking and Internet Application Development as a franchise of Middlesex University. These enable students to study locally and still achieve a qualification awarded by a prestigious UK university.

STC’s alliance with Middlesex University is being strengthened further this autumn with its launch of the university’s Master’s in Business Information Systems Management, a practical course focusing on the intersection of IT, strategy and management.
