Spyker have cancelled the contract of Dutch driver Christijan Albers due to a sponsorship problem, the Formula One team said today. Albers, 28, was in his second year with the Ferrari-powered team after making his debut with Minardi in 2005. He has been outperformed in the first half of the season by rookie German team mate Adrian Sutil. Spyker, who have yet to score a point in 10 races, did not say who would replace Albers. However Christian Klien appears to be the favourite.
