Rangers: Rangers have been drawn at home to Livingston in the Petrofac Training Cup quarter-finals. Mark Warburton’s side moved into the last eight with a 2-0 win at Ayr on Wednesday night and are due to play their Championship rivals at Ibrox on October 10. The only other Championship side in the draw, St Mirren, were paired with Dunfermline in Paisley.
Iborra: Midfielder Vicente Iborra has signed a new contract that will keep him at Sevilla until June 2020. The 27-year-old has added two more years to his previous deal that was due to expire in 2018, after two strong seasons with the Andalusian outfit.
Rusescu: Romanian forward Raul Rusescu has had his contract with Sevilla terminated by mutual consent. The 27-year-old joined Sevilla in the summer of 2013 shortly after winning the league title with Steaua Bucharest and finishing as the top scorer in the Romanian league.
Rodriguez: Deportivo have reached an agreement with Benfica to sign Uruguay international Jonathan Rodriguez on a season long-loan. The 22-year-old forward will undergo a medical today before completing his temporary move to the Primera Division club.
Afobe: Boss Kenny Jackett has confirmed Wolves have rejected a bid from Norwich for striker Benik Afobe. The Canaries made their move before Wolves’ 3-2 loss to QPR on Wednesday but their offer has been instantly dismissed.
