Racism: A German court has issued an injunction against a far-right party, banning the use of a book cover showing a white Germany shirt with Patrick Owomoyela's number 25 next to a racist slogan, the DFB said yesterday. The DFB said the court ruled the NPD would be fined 250,000 euros if they continued to use on their World Cup guide book Owomoyela's shirt with the slogan: "White. It is more than just a jersey. We want a genuine NATIONAL team". Owomoyela, whose father is from Nigeria, has been capped 11 times in his 18-month career. He is a Werder Bremen defender.

Wilmots: Ex-Belgian international Marc Wilmots is close to signing a deal with Kaiserslautern to become their sporting director next season. "We had talks on Wednesday and moved a step closer," the Bundesliga side's coach Wolfgang Wolf said yesterday. "I assume that the contract will be signed next week." Wilmots scored 27 goals in 138 matches for Schalke between 1996 and 2003.

Charged: A state prosecutor has charged the president of the Greek soccer federation (EPO) Vassilis Gagatsis with forgery and breach of faith over building contracts. The charges relate to alleged improprieties from 1998 to 2002 in the construction of training centres in the northern Greek cities of Florina and Xanthi as well as Agios Cosmas in southern Athens.

Under investigation: Former Paris SG chairman Laurent Perpere has been placed under official investigation for using forged documents. Examining magistrates Renaud Van Ruymbeke and Françoise Desset have notified Perpere. Perpere has denied any wrongdoing amid an inquiry over alleged under-the-counter payments made to players by Nike.

¤Saudi Arabian team manager Sahad Al Museibih has denied a report that globe-hopping coach Bora Milutinovic could lead the team at the World Cup. Dubai media reported last week that Serb Milutinovic was being wooed by Saudi Arabia, who recently appointed Brazilian Marcos Paqueta to replace sacked Argentine Gabriel Calderon. "It's absolute nonsense," Al Museibih told Reuters. "I don't know where this story comes from." At the World Cup, Saudi Arabia are in Group H with Spain, Ukraine and Tunisia.
