Atletico: Atletico Madrid have agreed to appoint Quique Sanchez Flores as coach until the end of the season. On Friday, they sacked Abel Resino from the post after a poor start to their campaign.

Adriano: Sevilla have been hit by the news that Adriano will be sidelined for at least a month with a thigh injury. Adriano was taken off in the 36th minute of the Champions League victory in Stuttgart on Tuesday and tests have revealed the 24-year-old winger has torn a muscle in his thigh.

Swine Flu: Two players of PSG have undergone tests for swine flu, football officials said casting doubts over today's league game at Marseille. Winger Ludovic Guily and defender Mamadou Sakho have been been unwell with flu symptoms for the last two days. There have been isolated cases of swine flu among footballers in France but as yet no top level game has been called off as a precautionary measure.

Bilic: Slaven Bilic will stay on as Croatia coach for their Euro 2012 campaign despite failing to take them to next year's World Cup. Bilic had initially planned to step down after the World Cup campaign when his contract expired but reconsidered his decision because of the support he received from players, the soccer federation and pundits.

Brazil: Brazil will face Oman on November 17 in Muscat, three days after playing England in another friendly in Qatar. The game with Oman, ranked a lowly 79 in the world, will be Brazil's last international of 2009.

Babbel: Stuttgart coach Markus Babbel will be in charge against Greuther Fuerth in the German Cup on Tuesday despite a 1-0 defeat by Hanover yesterday which left them 14th in the league, the club said. It was Stuttgart's third league defeat in a row. "There is no discussion about the coach," Stuttgart sports director Horst Heldt told reporters.
