Beckham: David Beckham has made the Real Madrid squad to play at Real Zaragoza today after making good progress on an ankle injury, coach Fabio Capello said yesterday. "He hasn't trained with the rest of the team this morning, he's only been running. He says it hurts a little but he is okay and that he will be there tomorrow," Capello said. The LA Galaxy-bound Beckham injured his left ankle during England's 3-0 win over Estonia in a Euro 2008 qualifier on Wednesday.

Sevilla: Sevilla have suffered a major setback in their push for the Primera Liga title with Mali striker Frederic Kanoute and Russian striker Alexander Kerzhakov returning from international duty with injuries. Kanoute, the club's leading scorer with 21 goals, has a knee ligament problem while Kerzhakov has a twisted ankle. Both were left out of the squad to visit Real Mallorca today.

Quagliarella: Fabio Quagliarella, who scored twice in his first start for Italy in the 2-0 win over Lithuania in midweek, has told Gazzetta dello Sport it would be a dream to play for hometown club Napoli. But the 23-year-old Sampdoria striker, co-owned by Udinese, is happy to stay where he is for now despite media speculation that some big clubs want to sign him.

Real agreement: Real Madrid have signed a collaboration agreement with Sports Capital Partners of New York to promote the development of the sport and their brand in the United States. They plan to develop football schools, expand the coverage for their club television channel, and play more friendlies in North America in the future.

Australia Squad: English Premier League players Harry Kewell, Tim Cahill and Mark Viduka have been included in Australia's 23-man squad for next month's Asian Cup. West Ham defender Lucas Neill and Blackburn's Brett Emerton were also named for the Socceroos' maiden Asian Cup campaign after switching confederations from Oceania to Asia last year. Midfielders Kewell and Cahill, of Liverpool and Everton, are returning to action after long-term injuries while Viduka completed a free transfer from Middlesbrough to Newcastle United on Thursday.
