CSKA Sofia: Bulgarian champions CSKA Sofia have "agreed in principle" to sign Panama striker Jose Luis Garces from Uruguayan club Nacional. "We've sent our offer to him and he accepted it," said CSKA's chief executive Alexander Garibov, though he did not disclose a transfer fee. The 26-year-old Garces, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Portugal's Belenenses, would become the first Panamanian in the Bulgarian championship.

Capello: Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has said he may quit coaching if he leaves the new Spanish champions. "The best squads already have coaches, which means I could even quit with two years pay," Capello said. "It is like tossing a coin into the air," he said when asked about the chances of staying at Real. "I only know that I would like to stay to win the Champions League. Asian Cup: Qatar is the first country to submit a bid to host the 2011 Asian Cup, tournament officials said yesterday. India and Iran have indicated they are also likely to apply for the right to host the 2011 tournament and the Asia Football Confederation will announce its choice in Jakarta on July 29.
