Spanish airlines Spanair and Air Europa have reached a code-sharing agreement covering 13 routes throughout the country, said Spanair, amid growing competition in the industry.
"Air Europa and Spanair will continue to develop their cooperation, increasing the links and code-sharing destinations," Spain's second biggest airline said in a statement.
The two companies believe that the alliances "will generate a significant increase in the number of passengers by improving travel options available on their main markets," Spaniar said.
