Spain's players have rallied round beleaguered coach Luis Aragones to show their support ahead of tomorrow's friendly international against Argentina in Murcia.

"Everyone is responsible for what has happened and the blame should be shared equally between the coach, the players and the management," striker Fernando Torres said.

Although it is only a friendly the outcome of the Argentina game is of particular importance for Spain and Aragones after two consecutive defeats in Euro 2008 qualifiers left them fifth in Group F.

They lost 3-2 away to Northern Ireland last month and Saturday's 2-0 setback in Sweden has seen the clamour in the media for Aragones's departure reach new heights.

The 68-year-old, however, has said he has no intention of quitting.

"He has told us he feels stronger and more sure of his ideas the more criticism he receives, and that he is going to see this out," Torres added.

"We know some fans are with us and others aren't, but the fact they are still coming to cheer us on is an incentive to help us turn around the situation."

The bunker mentality was reinforced by Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, who was also unequivocal in his backing for Aragones.

"There are few coaches better than him. We have spent a long time working with him and there is no one in a better position to get the best out of us," said Ramos.

Spain have only beaten Argentina three times in 10 attempts and lost the last time they played, 2-0 in a friendly in Sevilla in November 1999.

Argentina coach Alfio Basile goes into his second match in charge without striker Hernan Crespo and defender Gabriel Heinze, who are nursing injuries, and retired playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme.
