A total of 121 officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the AFM received Long Service and Efficiency Medals this morning from Home Affairs Minister Manuel Mallia.

He thanked them for their loyal service and sense of duty and said their work was truly appreciated by the government as proved by the bill, approved by the cabinet allowing members of disciplined corps to join a union.

The minister said that two reports compiled by the Injustices Board were now complete and remedies would come into effect soon.

Long Service and Efficiency Medals have been presented since 1992 for those having over 18 years of service and a clean conduct sheet.
