Maltese Scholarships

The government of Malta is offering scholarships for academic year 2004/2005 tenable at the College of Europe, Bruges, Belgium for the following areas of specialisation: MA in European political and administrative studies; MA in European economic studies; MA in European legal studies.

The closing date for applications is January 30.

Musical Tidings

The New Choral Singers under the musical direction of Marika Fenech will be presenting their annual Christmas concert Musical Tidings.

The first performance will be held at St Patrick's church, in Sliema on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. with a repeat performance at St Thomas More chapel, University of Malta, Tal-Qroqq on December 20 at 8.30 p.m.

This year the 37-member ensemble has invited the St Patrick's church children's choir Pepprin to accompany them in the delivery of various numbers.

Admission is free.

Water Cut

The water supply will be interrupted in Marfa, Armier, Cirkewwa, Mellieha, Qawra and Bugibba today because of maintenance works. The supply is expected to be restored by tomorrow.

Parking Area

The car park area situated at St James Bastion (opposite the main premises of the Central Bank), Valletta will be re-opened for public use on Friday, the Central Bank and Valletta local council said.
