A barge provided by Cassar Shipyard sails out today on what is expected to be the first of several trips to Tripoli, shipping water and other much needed supplies.

Workers of the Civil Protection Department and the I-Go Foundation were busy loading the 'Sea Horse' this morning in Marsa.

Its consignment will consist of 350 tons of water - some of it bottled - as well as as communications equipment, food and medicine.

Other ships are expected to head from Malta to Tripoli in the coming days, ferrying goods sent from international organisations including the WHO.
