Players and coaches of Sheffield United football club will be arriving in Malta on Monday for a short three day training camp.

The team, led by SUFC manager Kevin Blackwell, will be holding a training session on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Ta' Qali, which session will be open to the public. In the evening, the SUFC fitness coach Dean Riddle, will be conducting a workshop with the theme "Strength and Conditioning".

In February, Sheffield United senior officials and legendary SUFC ex players were in Malta for the opening of a football memorabilia exhibition, "A slice of football history", which was on display at the Auberge d'Italie in Valletta.

The exhibition contained various items that are an integral part of football's history, such as the first ever, handwritten rules of football as well as the first ever competitive trophy, the Youdan Cup. The exhibition also ran simultaneously with a visit by SUFC's Hungarian 'sister' team, Ferencvaros, who were in Malta for a week-long training camp.
