The ancient dockyard town of Senglea re-lived its maritime history today, with a series of re-enactments and other activities organised for the second year by the local council.

The activities were focused around the Macina (Sheer legs) where the replacement of a sailing ship's mast was recreated.

The historic building also hosted an exhibition of pictures, drawings and equipment related to Senglea's past.

Other re-enactments of trades related to the sea were held along the wharf, including the repair of sails.
