Birkirkara FC in a statement has strongly condemned the 'cowardly act of violence' shown towards Trevor Cilia who had his car vandalised by a person who, reportedly, was screaming obscenities towards the player and his club.

The case happened in Paceville, where the player went after winning two awards in the Replay Gala Night. Mr Cilia was not present as the unknown person smashed the windscreen and scratched the car.

The club said it wished to show its solidarity with the player and pledged it support so that the criminal could bought to justice.
