The third round from the Malta Personal Watercraft Association was held earlier this month at Mellieha Bay. The closed circuit jetski race included two rounds of five laps each.

First out were the 785cc Stock in which both races had a similar outcome - Jesmond Schembri taking two first places and runner-up position going to Claudio Ciantar twice.

Next out were the 1200cc Super Stock. Stefan Farrugia went unchallenged, especially with Michael Caruana not in the best of form.

There was stiff competition in the 1200cc Standard Class. Claudio Ciantar tried his best but had to settle for fourth place on the day just behind Patrick Schembri. Chris Attard and Vince Camilleri battled against each other in both rounds, but this time Attard emerged winner with Camilleri having to settle for second place.

The next race, an offshore, is on May 25, at St Thomas Bay, Marsascala. This is also a 'friendly race' with a chance for newcomers to jetski racing, to try out their skills. One may obtain more details by phoning 9946-6580 or 21-639492.
