Strolling along Qawra promenade the other day, I could not but notice the shabby look of the rusty Enemalta poles, some of which I think will soon be dangerous. These poles should have been galvanised to a certain specification which I think should withstand sea spray conditions.
I do not think they have been installed for very long, so one wonders whether these poles were installed to specification. If not they should have been claimed back from the supplier and Enemalta should not have paid for them.
It could well be that Enemalta made a claim and got the money back and so is waiting for the right time to change them. If this is the case, they should be seen to as soon as possible because of the danger and the shabby look.
