Embracing the internet and using its marketing potential to the fullest, iconic US alt rock band REM recently unveiled yet another track off its upcoming new studio album Collapse Into Now, which is scheduled to be released worldwide in the first week of March.

Further to Discoverer and It Happened Today, Oh My Heart is the third track to be given an advance online premiere to date and is dedicated to New Orleans.

In a comment to NPR Music, vocalist Michael Stipe said that the new song is “a very quiet and meditative song dedicated to New Orleans”.

Judging by the three new songs revealed so far, music critics are already hailing Collapse Into Now, which also features guest appearances from Patti Smith, Lenny Kaye, Joel Gibb, Peaches and Eddie Vedder, as REM’s best work since 1998’s Up album.
