Jackie Reid won the inaugural Homes of Quality tournament which was played recently at the Royal Malta Golf Club, Marsa.

The sponsorship of the competition was the latest of a number of initiatives that the Frank Salt Real Estate Group has taken up to support the local community through cultural and sports events.

The tournament was based on a stableford format for men and women. The top 72 scores from both categories then qualified for the final round and fought it out for the top prize - a five-day trip for two to Italy, including entry to a top Tuscany golf club.

Jenny Scicluna led the women's round with a 41, followed by Reid on 40. The leading male golfers were Simon Micallef Stafrace, 39, and Steven Boyle, 37.

At the final round, Reid was the overall winner with a creditable 37 to add to her Day One total for an overall 77.

Scicluna was followed by Maureen Borg in the women's competition.

Andrew Holland won the men's tournament and Boyle was the runner-up. The longest drives were those of Nigel Hall and Sue Wibrew. The nearest to the pin were Holland and Borg.
