A group of Frank Salt Real Estate employees have just returned from Barcelona. This is the company’s sixth group of high-flyers who have been treated to an all-inclusive incentive trip in recognition of their service to customers, hard work, commitment and results achieved during 2018.

Barcelona is a beautiful city, buzzing with tourists, restaurants, architecture and culture. The team spent a great five days in a boutique hotel, located only a 10-minute walk away from bustling La Rambla.

With a group of people as diverse and motivated as Frank Salt high-achievers, the trip would not have been complete without a strong element of adventure. Among other activities they experienced the thrill of a hot air balloon ride in the Spanish countryside and various culinary experiences, including visits to the oldest restaurant in Barcelona dating back to 1786, a two-star Michelin restaurant and a ‘dining in the dark’ experience. Another escapade included a visit to the vineyards of Cava where the team sampled some of the most famous sparkling wines of Catalonia. The group were also invited to bottle, label and cork a bottle of Cava each to take home with them.

It was truly a rewarding experience where we felt valued as individuals and above all as a team

The team included sales consultants Paul Bondin, Josienne DeGaetano, Pawlu Portelli and Roger Zammit, letting consultants Mirco Mai and Katya Scicluna, branch managers Ray Young and George Bonnici, branch secretary Alexia Sciberras and accounts assistant Arianna Cutajar Ghigo. Company director Grahame Salt accompanied the group and led the numerous activities.

The trip’s itinerary included an element of work consisting of a number of brainstorming sessions and meetings, which this year focused on internal and external client service, client needs, recruitment and new ideas for social media marketing. All meetings were held in iconic venues to bring out the best in creative thinking.

“The best session must have been the one we had at a beautiful park, packed with young people basking and lazing in the sun or simply walking their dogs,” said George Bonnici.

“We were all lying down on the grass in a circle, relaxed while soaking in the atmosphere and bursting with ideas,” he added.

Katya Scicluna said: “It was truly a rewarding experience where we felt valued as individuals and above all as a team. The time we spent together gave us a deeper insight into our daily roles and how we can improve to be more dynamic. It was energising to see that, ultimately, we all share the same vision. That means working towards the same goals as a team,” Ms Scicluna added.

The annual incentive trip is one of many initiatives through which Frank Salt Real Estate recognises the efforts of its people. Ongoing professional and personal development, training, company events, performance-based rewards, a sound marketing and IT infrastructure and a welcoming office environment also help ensure that the company retains its edge.
