The left-leaning Pulse students' organisation said today that it had won the student council election at the Junior College.

It said it won the election for the fourth time in a row, with a 52% majority. The election were held yesterday.

Pulse said the students had voted for continuity and experience. They had voted for a credible organisation that truly has the students’ interests at heart.

Pulse said it was still willing to resume talks for a more representative electoral system at both Junior College and the University level.

Had SDM agreed with the mixed-member-proportionality system, today it would have representatives on the council, Pulse observed.
