During demolition, all concrete material is dumped because it's not viable to be recycled. Whole concrete beams and balconies are removed with the help of cranes.

I suggest that the large concrete material of Xemxija Bay Hotel be temporarily stored in a nearby area (next to the nature reserve) to have all sharp iron reinforcements removed. Then, by means of a crane, it could be placed in the sea, a few metres from the road.

The concrete would stop the waves reaching the road and showering the cars when the sea is rough.

It would also prevent the sand from being carried away by the waves and stop the seaweed from being washed ashore.

By time, nature will increase the sandy beach.

More than two centuries ago the Knights of Malta placed large stones next to each other in several beaches in Malta and Gozo to prevent the sea from damaging sandy beaches.
