This year's edition of the President's Fun Run will be held on November 15 to raise funds for the Community Chest Fund.

President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca said this morning that the fund will consider a proposal by Nationalist MP David Agius to have the fun run held on a fixed weekend every year.

The idea is to have all sports organisations block off the date on their calendar not to have concurrent events on the day. This would enable everyone to attend.
The proposal is being backed by Parliamentary Secretary for Sports Chris Agius.

The fun run was launched at an activity for schoolchildren at Palace Square. There will be four converging routes - from Rabat to Valletta for those who wish to run and from the University, from Sta Venera and from Paola Square for those who wish to walk.

Applications can be made online on www.funrun.org.mt against a donation of €10.

The event is being sponsored by Banif Bank.
