The Armed Forces of Malta have taken delivery of 19 new vehicles, including seven Land Rovers, light and heavy trucks in a total investment of €650,000.

Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela said the vehicles will enable the AFM to improve its mobility. This, he said, was the biggest single acquisition of new vehicles in the history of the AFM.

Other recent purchases included bullet proof vests, radios and other means of communications and light weapons.
