Three of five personalities who were invited to take part in a marketing campaign on the power station extension declined the invitation, it has been revealed in Parliament.

The campaign, which has been criticised by the Labour Party, is being held for Enemalta by 26th Frame production house, which was selected after a call for tenders.

Finance Minister Tonio Fenech said the campaign was projected to cost €34,000 in newspaper and broadcast advertisements. Production expenses are expected to reach €8,500.

The personalities selected to take part in the campaign are being paid by the production house.
