“Let’s be positive,” PN candidate Claudette Buttigieg stressed during a PN conference on youth and the future.

She went over the highlights of the PN’s electoral programme and listed free childcare; the  €1000 pension accounts for children; the  increase in children’s allowances; schemes for youths to travel to another European country; increase in pensions; increase in number of scholarships; and the commitment to fight juvenile diabetes.

“All these will offer peace of mind to our young families,” Ms Buttigieg said.

Addressing the same conference MP Edwin Vassallo said that PN has created job opportunities which in turn generated stable finances; adding that all past achievement could be jeopardized should a new Government fail to create jobs.

Parliamentary assistant Beppe Fenech Adami said that when the election is over, the floodlights are switched off and the glitter is dusted, the people will realise that the PN is the party which can generate jobs for youths.

“The last time PL was in government between 1996 and 1998, they destroyed the country's economy: 4,000 people lost their jobs in 22 months,” he said.
