The Nationalist Party has complained to PBS over the participation in its TVM breakfast show today of government official  Alex Muscat, who was presented as being an independent opinion-maker.

Mr Muscat works in the prime minister's secretariat and later today accompanied the prime minister on a visit to MIA. He is also Labour's minority leader in Mosta and an election candidate, the PN said.

During this morning's show he defended the government over the delay in the building of the new power station, the PN said.

It complained that TVM is being used as the government's mouthpiece.
