The Nationalist Party this afternoon called on Education Minister Bartolo to ensure that maintenance grant applications were processed efficiently
“Students’ well-being is crucial to any educational system. Those who seek a maintenance grant face burdens which often already represent obstacles for them to continue their education. A change in the process of such applications ought to have been more sensitive to their needs.”
Shadow Minister for Education Therese Comodini Cachia said a number of students had expressed concern about a delay in being told whether they qualified for this grant.
She expressed support with the students facing this difficulty and called on Mr Bartolo to ensure that sufficient resources were provided so that applications were processed efficiently.
