An upgraded playground at Angela House was inaugurated today by Archbishop Paul Cremona today.

Equipment for the playground as well as safety rubber tiles were donated by the Vodafone Malta Foundation.

Present for the ceremony was Louise Stanton, British High Commissioner and a board member of the Vodafone Malta Foundation, who said that the children who lived at Angela House did so because of their difficult and sometimes tragic, family situations.

She said the Ursuline Sisters performed wonders in offering the children unbounded love and support, and providing what had been lacking in the children's lives before.

"For children to really regain their childhoods however, one of the most important therapies is simply the opportunity to play with other children," she said, hence the importance of the playground.

Angela House is a residential home for children catering for an average of 50 young children.
