I can understand that plastic bags cause pollution and maybe health problems but is this the only polluting factor? The plastic bags we get from the shops have many uses, one of which is for throwing away our daily rubbish. So by not using the plastic bag we have to buy the black garbage bags for our rubbish. Don't the black ones cause pollution too? Maybe we should do like in the old times - line our bins with newspapers and leave them outside with the rubbish in them.

What is next on the agenda to control pollution? Is the glass milk bottle coming back to replace the carton? What about the soft drinks plastic bottles? I can just imagine the housewife going to the grocery store to ask for some tomato paste or salted butter and being given these items folded in wax paper like in the old days. Or buying pasta by weight. When you think about it the old days were pollution free but now we have been spoiled...
