Aġenzija Sedqa will be organising new Parental Skills courses in the coming weeks.

Inrabbu 'l Uliedna Aħjar is targeted for parents of children aged up to 10. This six-lecture course will deal with topics such as leadership styles, child development, effective communication within the family, responsible involvement of children in the family, sexuality and substance abuse.

Those who wish to attend this course may choose between the morning sessions, which start on January 26, between 8.45 and 11.15 a.m. or the evening ones, which start on January 27, from 5.45 to 8 p.m.

Another course is aimed at parents of young people aged between 11 and 16. This will be spread over five sessions and will discuss issues such as the psychological phases of teenagers, effective communication with teenagers, dealing with peer pressure, media and leisure time, sexuality during teenage years and substance abuse.

This course will start on January 26 and will be held only in the evenings between 5.45 and 8. Both courses will be delivered in Maltese by professional staff trained in the respective fields. A €12 fee per person applies.

The venue for both courses will be St Joseph's Home, St Joseph's High Road, St Venera. Child care facilities for children aged three to 10 will be available.
