Uruguay striker Edison Cavani looks set to snub offers from English Premier League clubs as he is happy to stay at Palermo.

Reports from England suggest that Cavani is a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, but the player's agent insists the 21-year-old will remain with the Sicilian outfit this season.

"Cavani is a Palermo player," Pierpaolo Triulzi was quoted as saying. "There are no negotiations in place.

"He has four years left on his contract and he is happy to stay at Palermo."

Nicknamed 'El Matador', Cavani joined Palermo in January 2007 from home club Danuvio and has earned a starting role at the club.
