A car overturned in Marsa near the former matches factory this afternoon, causing a traffic jam which stretched up to Corradino and the Tarxien roundabout.

The incident happened at about 3.45 p.m.

The driver managed to get out on his own and was not seriously injured, but the car, an ambulance and rescue vehicles blocked several lanes, causing the long tailback of traffic.
