A third party private contractor working in the area of Mosta hit two underground 11kV Enemalta cables at around 2.30 p.m. which resulted in the suspension of supply in the locality.

Enemalta employees have managed to isolate the fault and restore supply to most of the consumers.

A small number of consumers are still affected as these cannot be supplied from alternative sources.

The repairs on the cable have already started, however, it is envisioned that this will take around 10 hours to fix, the corporation said.
