Laila Ali, daughter of boxing legend Muhammad Ali and a champion pugilist in her own right, married retired American football star Curtis Conway last weekend.
People magazine said Conway and Ali, 29, were wed on Sunday in front of about 200 guests, including Muhammad Ali and other family members.
Conway, 36, is a former wide receiver for the Chicago Bears, among other teams. He proposed to Ali in November, according to People.
Swiss court rejects Ullrich appeal
Former German cyclist Jan Ullrich has failed in a bid to stop private banking details being handed over to German prosecutors investigating him for fraud.
Switzerland's federal court said it would not consider an appeal brought by Ullrich in an attempt to prevent his account details being forwarded to the German authorities.
The court said there were no grounds to challenge the original ruling by Switzerland's federal criminal court, according to news agency SDA.
IRB sets date for 2011 final
The 2011 World Cup final will be held in New Zealand on the weekend of Oct. 22-23, the International Rugby Board (IRB) said. The final will be played at Auckland's Eden Park, the same venue for the inaugural World Cup decider in 1987.
A decision on the exact day of the final will be made during this year's World Cup, to be held in France from Sept. 7-Oct. 20.
