Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth (above) and Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour are among several British artists who have come together to save lives by raising awareness and money for the Malta-based search and rescue Migrant Offshore Aid Station. Mr Firth also paid a visit to the Sliema offices of Moas on Wednesday. Using the hashtag #SaveLivesNow, celebrities are urging fans to donate money to Moas. The NGO operates a maritime rescue operation in the Mediterranean and has saved over 11,000 lives in a year.
