The public has been invited to visit the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) at the Sant'Antnin Waste Treatment Plant in Marsascala on Saturday and Sunday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Attractions will include exhibitions, information and discussion sessions, Xummiemu shows and many other educational activities.

This open weekend is being organised to coincide with the inauguration of the MRF which sorts separated recyclable waste collected from bring-in sites. Participation is free of charge.

"We want to keep the public updated on the progress at Sant'Antin and help them to understand better the operations of this plant," said Vince Magri, WasteServ's CEO.
