It is such a shame that all the efforts to beautify the environment are undermined by selfish individuals. The plants only recently sowed around the shrub in one of the planters along Ġlormu Cassar Avenue, leading to Castille Place, in Valletta, have already been stolen.

Soft landing

Unwanted material was left outside a residence in Hughes Hallet Street, Sliema, throughout last week. It was an unbearable sight not only for the neighbours but for all visitors. Such situations should not be tolerated.

Why not?

Pedestrians at Castille Square, Valletta, hardly had any space left on part of the pavement there because a Department of Information car was parked haphazardly, blocking most of the way. The car also blocked the entrance to the bookshop on the square. It almost appeared the driver wanted to park the car in the doorway!

Alien disregard

The owner of this vehicles, bearing foreign licence plates, was not bothered by the double yellow lines in Paceville. He just parked the car and went about his business unhindered.

All in one

A number of residents in Gżira took the rubbish outdoors on Friday morning, with glass recyclables separated and in a variety of bags and boxes. Glass is collected every alternate Friday in that locality but everything was thrown into the back of the Scammel, along with the normal bags, and crushed. Something is clearly not working as intended.
