Quick goal: Riechedly Bazoer netted after just 25 seconds as Ajax secured a 1-0 home win over Vitesse Arnhem to maintain a comfortable lead in the Dutch league. Bazoer, who had been the subject of racist chanting away at ADO Den Haag last week, took advantage of a mistake by Eloy Room, the Vitesse keeper. Room failed to hold on to a high cross and allowed the ball to slip for the 19-year-old to tap home.

Klopp glasses: Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp and his players celebrated Adam Lallana’s stoppage-time winner at Norwich so wildly that the German ended up breaking his glasses. Lallana struck on 95 minutes to seal a 5-4 win. Klopp was swamped by his players and his trademark specs slipped off. “I have a second pair of glasses, but I can’t find them,” said Klopp. “It’s hard to find glasses without glasses.”

Guarin: Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin is in talks with Shanghai Shenhua over a transfer move. “There are negotiations in pro-gress with Shanghai, we hope to have some news as soon as possible,” Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti told reporters yesterday. Guarin had at first been linked with Jiangsu Suning, the Chinese club that almost completed the move for Milan striker Luiz Adriano earlier this month.

Bundesliga: Eintracht Frankfurt’s Alexander Meier hit a second-half hat-trick, including a stoppage-time winner, to give his side a 3-2 win over Wolfsburg and ease their relegation worries yesterday. The 33-year-old has been at Eintracht since 2004 and has already experienced relegation once in 2011.

Other result: Schalke-Werder 1-3.

Gervinho: Roma’s Gervinho is likely to leave the Serie A club this month with reports claiming he is heading to China. Roma director Mauro Baldissoni told reporters: “There are negotiations on-going for Gervinho to China. When a player expresses the desire to leave, there’s no point keeping him.” Sky Sport said Jiangsu Suning are ready to pay €18m to Roma for the Ivory Coast striker.
