A nursing officer at Mtarfa home for the elderly was charged in court this morning with having sexually harassed a number of employees at the home.

Carmel Griscti, 47 of Luqa, is denying the charges.

At the opening of proceedings, after the charges were taken as read and Mr Griscti had given his details, lawyer Chamaine Cherrett, who is appearing for the victims, asked the court to have the victims testify behind closed doors.

The request was upheld and the victims gave evidence behind closed doors.
