No one has been listed in the Child Offenders Register so far, Justice Minister Chris Said told Nationalist MP Franco Debono in reply to a parliamentary question today.

He pointed out that it is the courts that must order the listing of a person's details on the register, after a conviction.

Meanwhile, Home Affairs Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici said that over the past nine years, 69 people were taken to court to face child porn charges.  Those convicted were condemned to jail, suspended sentences, probation, conditional discharge and psychological treatment.
