No Maltese pilot trainees were involved in an Arizona flight school crash which killed one person, Air Malta said today.

A group of 11 Air Malta ab-initio pilot trainees are currently undergoing training at the flight school in Mesa, Arizona.

The school has been closed pending an investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board on the cause of the accident and the loss of life of a student while on a solo navigation exercise.
